This little man was barely a week old when I got to meet him for his newborn portraits.  What a great little sleeper he was.  I was very grateful, as we were able to get all his portraits done in time before the Superbowl started. Although Daddy decided not to come (I don’t blame him), I’m sure mommy was glad to wrap up in time for the game as well.   I had to miss most of the NFC Championship game to photograph an event that had been scheduled several weeks in advance, so I really didn’t want to miss the Superbowl.  Congratulations, mommy and daddy on your cute little son. Here are a few of my favorites from his session.

Sweet little Trinity has finally arrived. I don’t think there could be parents more proud than hers.   She’s destined to see the world from the sky, I’m sure.  Not one, but both mommy and daddy have their pilot’s license.  I can only imagine the adventures in store for her. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “Oh the places you’ll go . . . .”  Congratulations, mommy and daddy, on your sweet baby girl.

I know I’ve said it many times before, but 6 months is my favorite age.  Babies are just typically very happy at this age and most haven’t quite figured out how to use their legs just yet. As you can tell from her portraits, little Leah was all smiles for her session. She was a happy little lady. I really had a hard time selecting my favorites from her session, but finally settled on these.

I had the pleasure of taking Miss Cova’s newborn portraits and here she is turning one already. Time flies so quickly. Sometimes it seems to drag, those first several sleepless weeks, or months for some babies.  But once you get past that phase all you do is blink an eye and they’re starting school. Here are a few of my favorites from Miss Cova’s session. Happy Birthday, Cova!

I’ve always wanted to do a western spin on newborn pictures and finally had a mom who requested it.  What could be more appropriate for a little boy named Maverick, than a red bandana and cowboy boots? An ace of spades tucked up his sleeve, of course. This session was a lot of fun and he was all smiles when he was awake and slept like an angel later. What a fun little guy.

Here is little baby Kingston. I hope he knows how blessed he is with so many loving people in his life. His big brother I don’t think could be more proud of his baby brother. I loved how the portraits of the two of them turned out and included a couple here.

Here are little baby Aksel’s newborn portraits. He was actually about a month old when he came in, but he still slept like a champ. I was very pleasantly surprised at how well he did.  Even big brother shared some big smiles. Newborn sessions can be a challenge sometimes for older siblings, but he did a great job putting in the time. Here are a few of my favorites from Aksel’s session. Congratulations and a great little son!

Little JB is Johnny Beaureguard the V.   I think that is something very special.  I see a lot of juniors, but not many fifth generation name bearers. Congratulations to his mommy and daddy on their cute little man.  I had a lot of fun during this session. JB’s parents were more interested in portraits of themselves with the baby then necessarily a lot of props and sets.  I like playing around with black and white and was really happy with how these portraits turned out. But I think one of my favorites is little JB with the lions. He looks so cozy nestled there on the chair. Who wouldn’t sleep with a cozy lion like that to snuggle with?

Jaysen is such a happy little guy. I’m sure his mommy and daddy love listening to him giggle and laugh. I don’t think there is a sweeter sound, than a baby’s laugh.  It isn’t uncommon for a 3 month old to fall asleep during a session, and we were lucky that Jaysen took a little nap. He had a lot of smiles, but I think my favorite picture is the one of him smiling in his sleep. Here are a few images from his 3 month session.

Here is sweet little Miss Scarlett. I first met her mommy and daddy at her aunt’s wedding, which I had the pleasure of photographing a few years ago. It always surprises me how fast time goes by.  I love hearing from previous wedding clients and their families. I’m sure it’s a similar feeling for a school teacher when a former student pays a visit.  Anyway, I had a lot of fun photographing little Scarlett and her parents and spending a little time catching up. Here are  a few of my favorites from her session. Congratulations, mommy and daddy ~ and Auntie Lauren and Uncle Chad!
