2014_IndigoFamilyTree

About 4 years ago, March of 2010, we did our first newborn portrait of a baby with the brown  cocoon on the wood leaf. While not everyone who has come in over the last few years has wanted a portrait taken on the wood leaf, by far it has been our most popular portrait. To celebrate our studio’s recent anniversary, we thought it would be fun to put together a composite of all the newborn babies that have been in since that first session.

There is a number by each baby in the tree that corresponds with an image in the following baby gallery. Let us know if you think you can identify your baby and we’ll let you know if you’re correct.

To celebrate, as a special thank you to all our parents, we are featuring a special one time offer during the month of March:  you can purchase 20 digital images from your baby session (baby session meaning Newborn through 12 months) for $100 (plus tax). Print release is included. Please Note: this special offer excludes 2014 sessions.

For more information, you can call us at 253.537.3237.

I don’t think I’ve met an expecting mommy more ready for her baby to arrive, than little baby Robert’s mommy.  And Robert is here safe and sound and quite the cute little poser. We took all kids of portraits of him. I had the pleasure of meeting his mommy and daddy when they first came in for maternity pictures when his big sis was on the way. She didn’t quite like pictures as much as he did when she came in for her newborn session, but she was all smiles for her later sessions. I’ve enjoyed working with little Robert’s family over the past couple years and wish them a big congratulations on the newest member of their family. He’s a sweetheart.

This little lady is as sweet as can be. Mommy brought so many cute head pieces, hats, petti skirts for her session, that were was something cute for every set/prop we used. I think Mommy and Grandma are enjoying their baby girl! When it came time to make this post, it was hard to pick out my favorites. But I think the pictures with the owl hat are pretty cute. I don’t think there could be a grandmother more proud of her granddaughter than Amelia’s grandma. Congratulations, mommy and daddy.

A woman of many talents and interests, mommy came so prepared for her session with a lot of different ideas. I had a lot of fun putting it all together. Daddy is deployed overseas, so a lot of the pictures were for him as well. Because of the nature of his assignment, he won’t be able to get leave to be here when the baby arrives, either.  We so appreciate and recognize the sacrifices mommy and daddy are making for this country. Congratulations on your little baby boy! Here are a few of my favorites from her session.

Mommy said since this was their first baby, she wanted to make sure everything was perfect.  I think we came pretty close.  She and her hubby were a lot of fun to work with. To say they are excited would be an understatement. Having a baby definitely changes your life forever, but somehow you don’t seem to mind. Here are a few favorites from their session.

Sweet little Trinity has finally arrived. I don’t think there could be parents more proud than hers.   She’s destined to see the world from the sky, I’m sure.  Not one, but both mommy and daddy have their pilot’s license.  I can only imagine the adventures in store for her. In the words of Dr. Seuss, “Oh the places you’ll go . . . .”  Congratulations, mommy and daddy, on your sweet baby girl.

What a sweetheart this little baby girl is. Mommy and Daddy’s  little  Polynesian princess, baby Nalani means “the heaven’s beloved”.  She was a very peaceful little sleeper, which made the session go very smoothly. I had a hard time picking out my favorites, there were a lot of them. Congratulations, mommy and daddy on your beautiful little girl.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Drake’s mommy and daddy when I was I had the honor of photographing their wedding a few years ago. Now I get to photograph their little boy, which means a lot to me. Little baby Drake was born in the year of the dragon. So as a fun twist to our popular teddy bear portrait, mommy and daddy brought in Drake’s stuffed dragons to use instead. I think the portraits are adorable. Drake wasn’t in the best of moods, even after a long nap, but you’d never know it from his portraits. Lots of smiles here. What a cutie. They drove more than an hour to come in for little Drake’s portraits, so I’m very glad they turned out so well. Here are a few of my favorites.

Here is little Braxton only a few days old. What a little cutie. I loved how the portraits on the little wagon turned out and had to include one here. It took a little bit before he want to sleep, so I was able to capture a few of his expressions while he was awake. Congratulations, mommy and daddy, on a cute little son.

I can tell already that mommy is going to have a lot of fun with her little girl. Since she already has a little boy, this time around she gets to enjoy all the little bows and cute little outfits that come with little girls. I know my wife loved shopping for baby clothes when we finally had our little girl. Here are a few of my favorites from little Mariah’s session.
